Hit and run accident seriously injures an Odessa man Saturday night

At 11:40 Saturday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated a hit and run accident on I-70 two and a half miles East of Missouri Route “D” in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly occurred as a 2003 KIA driven by 54-year-old Merry K. Janes of Odessa was struck by another vehicle, ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. The striking vehicle driven by a male driver left the scene of the accident, and the driver was not identified. Janes suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Odessa EMS for treatment.

Marshall Man injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning

Just after 8am Sunday morning 27-year-old Charles E. Wonders of Marshall was Northbound on US-65 Highway at mile marker 39 South of Blackwater River in Saline County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report Wonders ran off the roadway, and impacted dirt in the median, causing the 2009 Pontiac G6 he was driving to rollover before coming to rest. Wonders received moderate injuries, and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Benton County accident injures a Calhoun Man this (Monday) morning

At 11:26 this (Monday) morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Missouri Highway “7” at Cold Springs in Benton County. According to the report the accident happened as the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, 55-year-old James C. Hunter of Calhoun steered to avoid a collision with another vehicle, that had crossed into his path. The Hunter vehicle collided with a ditch causing extensive damage to the vehicle. Hunter was transported to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.
