Three Sedalia residents reported injured in a Pettis County accident Friday

Just before 4pm Friday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Forest park Road east of South Grand Avenue in Pettis County. The crash reportedly occurred as the driver of a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder, 17-year-old Tyler C. Spear of Sedalia failed to negotiate a curve, and travelled off the roadway. The vehicle then struck two-trees and overturned, coming to rest on its top. A passenger in the vehicle, 15-year-old Andriy V. Usyk of Sedalia suffered serious injuries in the accident, and was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, by Research Eagle  Air EMS for treatment. Another passenger 15-year-old Jack C. Benton also of Sedalia received minor injuries, and was treated and released at the scene. Spear also received minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene.  All three occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seat belts according to the accident report.

Benton County accident injures two late Sunday night

At 11:30pm Sunday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a vehicle, that was travelling too fast for gravel road conditions, ran off the roadway, and struck a tree, on Centerline Avenue North of Fordney Road in Benton County. Both the driver of the 2001 Ford, 19-year-old Zane “T” Craig of Cole Camp, and his passenger 25-year-old Tasha M. Dotson of Lincoln suffered serious injuries in the accident, and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment.

Four people injured in a head-on collision Benton County accident Friday night

Just after 10pm Friday night an injury accident was reported on US-65 Highway just North of Route “AA” in Benton County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Report states the accident occurred as the 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by 51-year-old James K. Snider of Springfield Missouri crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic, where it struck a 2012 Toyota Tundra driven by 36-year-old Todd J. Kessler of Omaha Nebraska head-on. Following the impact the Snider vehicle came to rest in the roadway, while the Kessler vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a fence, and came to rest in a field. A passenger in the Snider vehicle 23-year-old Tyler D. Smalley of Strafford Missouri suffered serious injuries, and was taken to Bothwell Regional Hospital by Lincoln/Warsaw Ambulance for treatment, while Snider refused treatment at the scene for his minor injuries. Two passengers in the Kessler vehicle, 33-year-old Justine M. Kessler, and 5-year-old Taylin R. Kessler both of Omaha Nebraska received moderate injuries, and were also transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.
