Lafayette County accident injures three people Wednesday evening

Just before 6pm Wednesday evening the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Highway “FF” in Lafayette County. According to the report the accident occurred as the 2012 Ford driven by 21-year-old Joshua T. Baggs of Higginsville travelled off the roadway and impacted a culvert, causing the Ford to overturn. Baggs and a passenger, 24-year-old Amanda K. Lewis of St. Joseph suffered serious injuries, while a second passenger, 21-year-old Braden M. Eschbach of St. Joseph received moderate injuries. All three victims were transported to Centerpoint Hospital by EMS for treatment.

Windsor woman injured in a Johnson County accident Wednesday morning

At 11:30 Wednesday morning according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report 36-year-old Twila D. Christopher suffered serious injuries in an accident on Missouri Highway 23, 43 feet North of Route “WW” in Johnson County. The accident happened according to the report as a 2008 Dodge driven by 83-year-old Elbert D. Coleman of Knob Noster was attempting to make a left hand turn onto “WW”, and pulled into the path of the 2005 Chevrolet driven by Christopher causing the Christopher vehicle to strike the Dodge on the front left corner. The Coleman vehicle came to rest in the median, while the Christopher vehicle travelled off the roadway and struck a embankment. Christopher was taken to Research Medical Center by EMS for treatment.

40-year-old Indiana man injured in a Lafayette County accident Wednesday

Around 3:10pm Wednesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the Mayview Weight Station in Lafayette County. The accident happened when a 2015 Ford driven by 27-year-old Bret A. Miller of Kearney Missouri struck 40-year-old Robert A. Kirkoff of Spencer Indiana at the weight station. Kirkoff received minor injuries, and was taken to Lafayette Regional Hospital by Odessa EMS for treatment.
