25-year-old Concordia female injured in a Lafayette County accident

Just before 8pm Monday night the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a one vehicle accident on Southbound Missouri Highway 23 a tenth of a mile North of Concordia Lake road in Lafayette County. According to the accident report the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, 25-year-old Samantha D. Phillips of Concordia suffered a medical issue, travelled off the roadway and into a ditch. The vehicle then impacted a utility pole, and overturned. Phillips received moderate injuries in the accident and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by Life Flight Eagle for treatment.

One-vehicle accident in Lafayette County injures a Higginsville teen

At 1:21pm Tuesday afternoon according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol the driver of a 2007 Ford 500, 22-year-old Blake A. Smith of Kansas City Missouri drove off the right side of Shelby Road a half mile South of Highway “T” in Lafayette County. The accident report states the driver then overcorrected, travelled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned coming to rest on its top. A passenger in the vehicle 18-year-old Jonathon M. Bell of Higginsville suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Lafayette County Regional Hospital for treatment.

Henry County accident Tuesday afternoon injures a 61-year-old Adrian man

Around 4:45pm Tuesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Missouri Highway 18 at Route “K” in Henry County. The accident reportedly happened as the driver of a 1995 Honda Accord, 49-year-old Lorna G. Poston of Urich pulled into the path of a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 61-year-old Lamont M. Vernardos of Adrian. The Honda struck the Mercury in the front end resulting in moderate damage to both vehicles. Vernardos received minor injuries in the crash, and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
