Four injuries reported in a two-vehicle accident in Pettis County Wednesday

At 11:48 Wednesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on US-50 Highway at Missouri Route “M” in Pettis County. According to the report the accident occurred as the 2005 Mercury driven by 74-year-old Phyllis K. Snead of Sedalia pulled into the path of a 2001 Oldsmobile driven by 25-year-old Ryan C. Toombs of Lebanon Missouri at a controlled intersection. The Snead vehicle struck the Toombs causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Snead and her passenger 46-year-old Jamie L. Wendel of Sedalia received minor injuries, and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County EMS for treatment. Toombs, and a male victim identified as 14-year-old Cooper R. Hudson of Lebanon had minor injuries, but were treated at the scene and released. All four victims were reportedly wearing seatbelts.

Warrensburg man injured in a Johnson County accident caused by a pot hole

Around 4:20pm Wednesday afternoon a one-vehicle accident was reported on Northeast 151 Road a tenth of a mile South of Missouri Highway 13 in Johnson County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report the accident happened when the trailer being pulled by a 1995 Ford hit a pot hole causing the driver, 43-year-old  Jeffery R. Harris of Warrensburg to lose control of the vehicle, and travel off the roadway. The report states the vehicle overturned in a ditch causing minor injuries to Harris, who was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County EMS for treatment.
