Smithton Teen suffers serious injuries in a vehicle accident Monday afternoon

 

At 1:15 Monday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Rattlesnake Hill Road 4-miles South of Smithton in Pettis County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado, 16-year-old Quenten Harmon of Smithton failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway, then returned to the roadway, ran off the other side of the roadway, and struck a tree. Harmon was not wearing his seatbelt and suffered serious injuries in the crash, he was transported to the University Hospital in Columbia by Staff for Life for treatment.

 

Green Ridge man injured in a rollover accident Monday afternoon

 

Around 3:45 Monday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Main Street Road 4-miles West of Sedalia in Pettis County. The accident reportedly happened when a 1993 Dodge Dakota driven by 33-year-old Kevin M. Bender of Green Ridge, and a 2009 Infinity G37 driven by 20-year-old Petr Y. Grigoryev of Sedalia met at a curve. The accident report states both vehicles attempted to avoid the collision, but does not say a collision occurred. The Dodge vehicle swerved and overturned causing moderate injuries to Binder, who was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center here in Sedalia by private conveyance for treatment. The Binder vehicle was reportedly totaled, and the Grigoryev vehicle damage was said to be extensive, but no injuries were reported for Grigoryev.

 

Benton County accident reported late Monday night on 65-Highway

 

At 11pm Monday night according to a Missouri State Highway patrol report 22-year-old Brittany L. Chiles of Warsaw fell asleep at the wheel of her 1994 Ford Ranger causing the vehicle to run off the roadway, and overturn. The accident that occurred on US-65 Highway a mile North of Route “P” in Benton County resulted in moderate injuries for Chiles, who was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center here in Sedalia by Cole Camp EMS for treatment.
