Early morning accident in Saline County injures a Nelson man

At 4am this (Tuesday) morning the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Route “E”  8-tenths of a mile South of 210th Road in Saline County. The accident report states the accident occurred as the 1999 Ford F-150 Pickup driven by 44-year-old Casey J. Kendall of Nelson travelled off the roadway, and struck a ditch before coming to rest. Kendall reportedly suffered moderate injuries, and was taken by Air Evac EMS to the University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

51-year-old Springfield man injured in a Henry County accident Sunday morning

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report 51-year-old James A. Landis of Springfield received moderate injuries when the 1998 Dodge Ram he was driving ran off the roadway and into a creek. The accident reportedly happened on Missouri’s Highway “7” at Field Creek in Henry County at 12:42am Sunday morning. The accident report also states Landis was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was taken to Research Hospital in Kansas City for treatment.

Pettis County accident injures a 20-year-old woman and an infant Friday

At 12:50 Friday the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Cedar Drive 7-tenths of a mile North of Griessen Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2000 Pontiac driven by 20-year-old Whitney M. White of Sedalia travelled off the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned into a drainage ditch. Whitney suffered serious injuries, and was transported to University of Columbia Medical Center for treatment. An infant passenger in the vehicle Nehemiah Gill also of Sedalia received minor injuries and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Accident involving a 2-year-old pedestrian reported Friday evening

Around 5:45 Friday evening according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report a pedestrian identified as 2-year-old Lucy A. Adams of Sedalia was struck by vehicle as it backed out of a private driveway in the 2800 block of Meadow Wood Drive in Pettis County. The driver of the 2006 Ford was 39-year-old Jeffery Purvis of Sedalia. The child was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by private vehicle for treatment of what was described as minor injuries.

17-year-old Lafayette County accident victim arrested for driving while intoxicated

Just after 6am Saturday morning the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on
Golden Belt road East of Main Road in Lafayette County. According to the accident report the driver of a 2006 Honda Accord, 17-year-old Dylan S. Smith of Odessa was involved in an accident, and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Smith was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by Odessa EMS for treatment of moderate injuries.

Knob Noster man injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday night

At 9:25 Saturday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on County Road Southeast 600 east of County Road Southeast 771, in Johnson County. The accident reportedly happened when the driver of a 2003 Suzuki, 34-year-old Jason G. Bowers of Knob Noster lost control of the Suzuki, overturned and was ejected. Bowers was not wearing safety equipment according to the report, and suffered serious injuries. He was transported by Johnson County Ambulance to Research Medical Center for treatment.
