Four Knob Noster residents injured in a one-vehicle accident last Friday

At 5:23pm last Friday the Missouri state Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Missouri Highway 23 just North of County Road Northeast 400 in Johnson County. According to the report the accident occurred as the 2003 Chrysler driven by 15-year-old Faith A. Rose of Knob Noster travelled off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment, and struck several trees before coming to rest, and catching fire. A passenger 16-year-old Callie G. Clifton of Knob Noster suffered serious injuries, and was taken to Centerpoint Medical center by lifeflight for treatment. A passenger 17-year-old Brandi J. Warzala also of Knob Noster was reportedly injured and was taken to Research Hospital by EMS for treatment of moderate injuries. The driver and another passenger 15-year-old Payton A Smith of Knob Noster received minor injuries and sought their own treatment. All the victims were reportedly wearing seat belts.

74-year-old Wellington man injured in a Jonson County accident

Around 4:30pm Sunday afternoon A Wellington Missouri man identified as 74-year-old Marvin A. Huenefeld received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Business-13 just south of County Road Southwest 325 in Johnson county. According to the Missouri state highway Patrol accident report the accident occurred as the 2005 Mini-Cooper driven by Huenefeld travelled off the roadway, struck a ditch, a fence and a tree before becoming airborne. The vehicle then travelled over a creek, and overturned coming to rest in a wooded area on its wheels. Huenefeld was transported to St. Lukes East by Johnson County EMS for treatment.

3-vehicle accident in Lafayette County Sunday morning injures two Kansas City teens

At 8:20am Sunday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Westbound I-70 at mile marker 59. The accident reportedly happened as the 2010 Ford Focus driven by Jemesha D. Jones of Kansas City Missouri travelled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, and then travelled off the right side of the roadway, crossed the outer road, and into a parking lot where it struck two unoccupied vehicles. Jones and a passenger in her vehicle received minor injuries, and were transported to I-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs for treatment.
