51-year-old Holden man seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday night

Around 9:15pm Monday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Northwest 800 Road just West of Missouri Highway 131 in Johnson County. The accident happened according to the report as the 2002 Mitsubishi driven by 51-year-old Richard D. Cawley of Holden travelled off the roadway for unknown reasons, and onto Northwest 800 Road where it struck a 2013 KIA  driven by 24-year-old Ashley R. Duncan also of Holden. Cawley  was not wearing a seatbelt, and suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported by lifeflight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment. Duncan was wearing her seatbelt and received minor injuries; she decided to seek her own treatment.

Minor injuries reported in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County Sunday

At 5:34pm Sunday evening a Saline County accident sent 19-year-old Kaitlin N. Marre of St. Charles to Fitzgibbon Hospital with minor injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway patrol accident report the 2009 Chevrolet Marre was driving travelled off of Westbound I-70 at mile marker 81.2, where it struck a ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its right side. Marre was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital by a  Saline County Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
