Pettis County accident Monday seriously injures a Sedalia man

At 7:40pm Monday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Route “M” South of US-50 Highway.  According to the report the accident occurred as a bicyclist, 44-year-old Sean S. Burke of Sedalia was travelling Northbound in the Southbound lanes, and struck the passenger side mirror of a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Russell D. Dehaven of Sedalia. Burke suffered serious injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center by ambulance for treatment.

66-year-old female pedestrian struck by a backing vehicle in Henry County

Around 6pm Monday evening, a pedestrian identified as 66-year-old Loretta L. Kelly of Blairstown received serious injuries in an accident on Route “N” at Northwest 1051 Road in Henry County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report the accident happened as a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 63-year-old Phillip E. Hicks also of Blairstown was backing Westbound in the Eastbound Lane, and struck Kelley, who was standing at the edge of the roadway. She was transported by Lifeflight Eagle Air Ambulance to Research Hospital in Kansas City for treatment.
