Pettis County accident injures 2-men early Tuesday afternoon

Just after noon on Tuesday the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident in the 34000 block of Highway “HH” in Pettis County. According to the report the accident occurred as the 2012 Chevrolet driven by 31-year-old Russell D. Hostetler of Sedalia pulled into the path of a 2007 Lincoln driven by 72-year-old Charles R. Marshall also of Sedalia. The accident report states this resulted in a head-on collision of the vehicles. The report also states neither driver was wearing a seat belt. Marshall suffered moderate injuries and was transported to University of Columbia Medical Center by Air Ambulance for treatment. Hostetler received minor injuries, and refused treatment at the scene.

Two vehicle accident involves a farm tractor in Lafayette County Tuesday

At 2pm Tuesday afternoon a John Deere Tractor driven by 52-year-old Vincent A. Niendick of Wellington was struck by a 2005 Honda driven by 54-year-old Jill M. Johnston of Oak Grove, on Highway “FF” East of Foster College Road in Lafayette County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report states the accident occurred as the tractor was attempting to make a left hand turn, and was struck by the Johnston vehicle that was attempting to pass. The Johnston vehicle struck the tractor which caused the driver to be ejected. Johnston received minor injuries, and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center by Wellington Fire and EMS for treatment. There was no mention of any injuries to Niendick.

Three people injured in a Johnson County accident Wednesday morning

Around 8am Wednesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Route “W” and Highway 58 in Johnson County. The accident reportedly happened as the 2009 Chevrolet driven by 47-year-old Debra J. Cue of Kingsville pulled into the path of a 2011 Chevrolet driven by Lisa M. Fierst of Pleasant Hill, causing the Fierst vehicle to strike the Cue vehicle in the passenger side. Fierst suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance for treatment. A passenger in the Cue vehicle, 37-year-old Ryan J. Cue of Kingsville also suffered moderate injuries in the crash, and was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance for treatment. Debra Cue refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
