20-year-old Sedalia man falls asleep at the wheel Wednesday morning

At 10:18 Wednesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on US-65 Highway just South of John Road in Pettis County. According to the report the accident occurred as the driver of a 2005 Nissan Altima, 20-year-old David Lorandi of Sedalia reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The Nissan then travelled into the left lane of traffic, where Lorandi overcorrected causing the vehicle to travel off the roadway, strike a bluff, return to the roadway where it came to rest in the left lane partially blocking the lane. Lorandi received minor injuries, and went to his personal physician for treatment.

3-vehicle accident Wednesday morning injures a St. Louis woman

Around 8:45 Wednesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 3-vehicle accident on Eastbound I-70 at mile marker 76.6 in Saline County. The report states the accident happened as a 2004 Toyota Camry driven by 22-year-old  Megan L. Rosbury of Murray Kentucky, and a 2001 Hyundia Elantra driven by 22-year-old Erica D. Wilhite of St. Louis were slowing in traffic. The Rosbury vehicle was moving to the right lane when a 2008 Kenworth T300 struck it in the rear, and the Wilhite vehicle in the side. Wilhite suffered minor injuries in the collision, and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for treatment.
