33-year-old Sedalia woman suffers moderate injuries in a motorcycle in Pettis County

Just before 1:00 Tuesday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on Route “U” South of Anderson School Road in Pettis County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 2000 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, 35-year-old Jeremi Schmidt of Sedalia, was traveling on a curve and struck the roadway, causing him to lose control and travel off the roadway where the motorcycle overturned. Schmidt received minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. A passenger, 33-year-old Laura Taylor of Sedalia, received moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Henry County accident injures a Springfield man Sunday afternoon

Around 3:00 Sunday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Route 7 a mile North of County Road 1001 in Henry County. The accident happened as the driver of a 2000 GMC Jimmy, 34-year-old Danny Hawthorn of Springfield, Mo., lost control of his vehicle and struck the trailer being towed by a 2007 Dodge Ram driven by 41-year-old Jerry Rankins of Gravois Mills. The Rankins vehicle then traveled off the roadway and overturned several times, coming to rest on its top. Hawthorne received moderate injuries and was transported to Research Hospital in Kansas City by ambulance for treatment.

Pettis County man receives minor injuries in an accident early Monday morning

At 2:00 Monday morning, an Independence man received minor injuries when his vehicle traveled off of Bouldin Road west of Cherry Tree Lane in Pettis County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the 1999 Ford truck driven by 24-year-old Anthony Wascher of Independence ran off the roadway and struck an embankment, totaling the truck. Wascher received only minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

42-year-old Odessa woman injured in Lafayette County accident

Around 11:45 Monday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Varner Road at Oakland School Road in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly happened as the 1999 Chevrolet driven by 41-year-old Loftin Begeman of Mayview entered an unmarked intersection and was struck in the driver’s side by a 2011 Chevrolet driven by 29-year-old Travis Fricke of Odessa. A passenger in the Begeman vehicle, 42-year-old Amy Callaway of Odessa, received minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Center point Hospital for treatment.

Head-on collision reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Monday night

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a head-on collision on Missouri Highway 52 at Tower Avenue in Benton County that occurred at 10:00 Monday night. The accident happened when the driver of a 1999 Ford Contour driven by 45-year-old Ronald Uptegrove of Cole Camp failed to yield and turned into the path of a 1999 Ford F250 driven by 32-year-old Adam Sevy of Peculiar, hitting the vehicle head-on. Sevy received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
