Pettis County accident injures three victims Friday morning

At 7:18 Friday morning (Sept. 5th) The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident, that occurred on US-65 Highway South of Elm Hills Blvd. The accident happened as the 2014 Subaru driven by 26-year-old Christopher Waggoner of Sedalia crossed the center of the roadway, and into the path of a 2013 Nissan driven by 45-year-old Irma Arroyo Torres also of Sedalia. Waggoner was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Air Evac EMS for treatment. Torres received Moderate injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County EMS. A passenger in the Waggoner vehicle 17-year-old Devon Stout of Hughesville complained of minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene.

Saline County accident Friday night injures a Kansas City teen

Around 9:20 Friday night the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, 20-year-old Austin Embrock of Grain Valley reportedly lost control of his vehicle at mile marker 77.8 on Eastbound I-70 in Saline County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states the vehicle then struck a 1997 Pontiac Grand AM driven by 18-year-old Del’Shaun Higgins of Kansas City Missouri in the rear passenger side. The Del’Shaun vehicle travelled off the roadway, struck a median cable, and overturned several times partially ejecting Del’Shaun. Del’Shaun suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to the I-70 Medical Center by Saline County EMS for treatment.
