The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated several accidents in our area yesterday (November 17) and Monday evening (November 16).

There was a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries in Johnson County on Highway 50 .4 miles east of NW 361 Road last night at 6:50 pm (November 17). The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred as a 2006 Acura driven by 47-year-old Gregory Starr of Olathe, Kansas overtook and struck a 2013 Toyota, driven by 23-year-old Gage Berry of Kansas City. Berry's vehicle skidded off the left side of the roadway and went into the median of Highway 50.
Berry sustained minor injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center via private vehicle, while Starr refused treatment at the scene. Starr's vehicle sustained moderate damage and Berry's had extensive damage.

There was a two vehicle accident that happened in Johnson County yesterday afternoon at 4:15 on Highway 13 at Southwest 575 Road. The accident happened as 53-year-old Mark Rogers was driving northbound with a 2003 Dodge and slowed to make a left turn and 17-year-old Sydney Wilson of Warrensburg overtook Roger's vehicle and struck Roger's vehicle in the rear. Wilson sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Wilson's vehicle had extensive damage and was towed from the scene, while Rogers vehicle had minor damage and it was driven from the scene.

There was a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 13 in Johnson County .2 miles north of Southeast 101 Road. 53-year-old Linda Case was driving southbound and entered water in the roadway and lost control of her vehicle and slid into a ditch. Case suffered minor injuries and was taken to Golden Valley Hospital via Johnson County Ambulance. Case's vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.

There was a three-vehicle accident in Pettis County yesterday afternoon (November 17) at 3:10 on Highway 50 West of Highway 135. The accident occurred as 24-year-old Destiny Jones was driving her Lumina and 34-year-old Elizabeth Hogan was driving her Altima Eastbound and Jones struck Hogan's vehicle in the rear end. Hogan's vehicle went off the roadway and stopped on the right side of the road. Jones' vehicle crossed the center of the road and struck a third vehicle, driven by 58-year-old Heather Ives. Hogan had moderate injuries and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center. Ives had minor injuries and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center. Jones was taken by Pettis County Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.  Jones' and Ives' vehicle were totaled, while Hogan's vehicle had moderate damage.

There was a one-vehicle accident in Lafayette County on Monday evening (November 16) at 7:20 at Concordia Lake, west of Robe Road. 17-year-old Rachael Rodenberg was driving westbound, when she ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Rodenberg suffered moderate injuries and was taken I-70 Medical Center by Concordia Fire and EMS.
