Missouri state Highway patrol Reports a Fatality Accident in Johnson County Tuesday Afternoon

At 3:15 Tuesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a fatality accident on County Road Southwest 101 4-tenths of a mile South of Missouri Route “BB” in Johnson County. The accident reportedly occurred as the driver of a 1999 Ford, 25-year-old Patrick D. Puryear of Warrensburg lost control of the vehicle,travelled off the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. The report states the vehicle continued to move, struck the embankment a second time, and then struck a 2000 Jeep driven by 17-year-old  Kaci G. English also of Warrensburg. Puryear suffered fatal injuries in the crash, and was taken to Centerpoint Hospital by Staff for Life, where he was pronounced deceased. A passenger in the Puryear vehicle 27-year-old Robin M. Hoy of Chilhowee received moderate injuries, and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Johnson County EMS for treatment. The accident report states Puryear and Hoy were not wearing seatbelts.
