Stover man suffers serious injuries in a one vehicle accident in Pettis County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one vehicle injury accident on Route "M" East of Route "V" in Pettis County at 12:20pm Monday afternoon. The accident report states the accident happened as the driver of a 2005 Toyota Tundra, 61-year-old Blake M. Calvin lost control of the vehicle on an ice covered roadway, slid off the roadway, struck a metal culvert, and began overturning. The vehicle then struck a barbed wire fence before coming to rest on its wheels off the roadway. Calvin suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was life flighted to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Lafayette County accident reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol early Monday morning

According to an accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol 47-year-old Richard W. Hicks lost control of his vehicle on an icy roadway just after 5am Monday morning. The report states the accident took place on Route "TT" West of Old Concorde Road in Lafayette County. The Hicks vehicle, a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee ran off the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels. Hicks received moderate injuries, and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a one-vehicle on an icy road in Lafayette County Monday morning

Just after 7:30am Monday morning the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Mount Tabor Rod two-miles West of Missouri 131 in Lafayette County. According to the report the accident occurred as the driver of a 2001 Ford Explorer, 17-year-old Anndria L. Burkhart of Odessa lost control of the vehicle on an ice covered roadway, travelled off the roadway, and struck a utility pole totalling the Explorer. Burkhart who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt suffered moderate injuries, while her passenger 15-year-old Austin S. Burkhart also of Odessa was buckled up, and received only minor injuries. Both victims were taken to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment, by Odessa Fire.

65-year-old Gravois Mills woman injured in a accident in Pettis County

At 12:40 Monday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a second injury accident, that occurred on the icy roadway in the area of Route "M" and Route "V" in Pettis County. The crash reportedly happened as the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, 65-year-old Carolyn J. Runager of Gravois Mills lost control of the Cavalier, on the icy roadway, travelled off the roadway, and struck an embankment. Runager was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment of moderate injuries.
