The following Missouri State Highway Patrol reports are from the morning of December 8, 2014.

There was a six-person, two-vehicle accident with one fatality that happened on Saturday evening Dec. 6) at 8:04 on  Route HH, East of Route EE. 34-year-old Elmer Knox, of Sedalia, was traveling east when 41-year-old Brian Barr, of Sedalia, crossed the center line into the opposing lane. Knox attempted to avoid the vehicle, but struck it head on. Barr was transported to University Hospital by the Pettis County Ambulance District and was pronounced dead at University Hospital at 9:45 p.m. Knox suffered moderate injuries, along with passengers 34-year-old Diane Knox and 7-year-old Kadyn Knox. In addition, 10-year-old Ashley Knox and 3-year-old Alicia Knox suffered serious injuries. All of the Knox family were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

There was a one vehicle crash that happened in Lafayette County early this morning (Dec. 8) at 1 a.m.  31-year-old Joshua Littrell, of Higginsville, was driving a car northbound on Route H, just south of Tyree Road when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve and traveled off the roadway. The vehicle came to a rest in a field and Littrell suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Odessa EMS to St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs.

There was a one vehicle accident that happened in Saline County at 3:30 yesterday afternoon (Dec. 7). 16-year-old Samuel Howery, of Nelson, was driving a truck west on Mt. Olive Road and hit a rut in the roadway, causing him to overcorrect. Howery's vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, hit an embankment, overturned and returned onto the roadway. Howery suffered moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Staff For Life Air Ambulance.

There was a two-person injury accident that happened in Saline County yesterday afternoon (Dec. 7) at 2:25. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 84-year-old Paul McKee, of Manchester, fell asleep while driving, ran off the left side of the roadway on I-70 Eastbound at the 78 mile marker and struck a guard rail. Paul and his passenger, Nancy McKee, were in the vehicle at the time of the accident and both suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.

There was a one-vehicle accident that happened in Benton County at 4 yesterday morning (Dec. 7) on Route F, .just south of Chat Avenue. 17-year-old Lewis Roark, of Green Ridge, was driving a truck northbound on Route F and according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he fell asleep and struck a tree. Roark suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by a private vehicle for treatment.

There was a two-person accident that happened on Saturday evening (Dec. 6) at 11:50 on Highway 65 at Route H. 48-year-old John Grose, of Green Ridge, was driving and attempted to avoid a collision with another vehicle that pulled into his path. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a sign. Grose suffered minor injuries, while his passenger 50-year-old Teresa Grose suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.
