Missouri State Highway Patrol Reports: Morning of Thursday, October 1, 2015

There was a one vehicle accident in Johnson County at 1689 NW 785 Road early yesterday morning (September 30) at 2:59. 59-year-old Neil Shelton, of Bates City, was driving his car on a curve, ran off the side of the roadway and struck a mailbox, a fence, electrical box and a tree.

Shelton suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Lee's Summit Medical Center. Shelton's vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 22-year-old Billy Pickard, of Leeton,

for operating an ATV while under the influence of alcohol, operating an ATV on the Highway and operating an unregistered ATV at 1:44 yesterday morning (September 30).
