Missouri Valley College Lacrosse Upsets St. Johns University

Marshall, Mo. (March 15, 2015)- The No. 15 Missouri Valley College men’s lacrosse team finished action in St. Paul, Minn., Sunday by taking on No. 7 St. Johns (Minn.) University.  The Vikings won a close matchup, coming away with a 14-12 win Sunday afternoon.

The win moves Missouri Valley to 2-2 on the season and drops St. Johns to 3-3.  St. Johns defeated Missouri Valley 13-10 in the first round of the 2014 MCLA Division II National Tournament.

Missouri Valley finished its trip to Minnesota with a 2-1 record.  The Vikings defeated St. Johns and No. 3 North Dakota State University 8-7, but lost to No. 4 University of St. Thomas (Minn.) 17-11.

The Viking men’s lacrosse team will next play at home Friday against Robert Morris (Ill.) University at 5 p.m.
