A woman has been ordered to spend three years in Missouri prison after having admitted her role in drunkenly causing a fatal wreck while driving the wrong way on a St. Louis-area freeway.

Twenty-seven-year-old Julie Behnen pleaded guilty Friday in St. Louis County Circuit Court to an involuntary manslaughter count.

Investigators say Behnen's blood alcohol level was three times the state's legal threshold in 2014 when she drove the wrong way on Interstate 44 and hit a vehicle occupied by 22-year-old Megan Mangene. That St. Louis woman died two days later.

A lawyer for Mangene's family says Mangene was returning home from her waitressing job.
