Okay, I'm not going to give the weather any more chances.  It was 80.  Then it was in the 30s.  I'm going to boycott the weather, because when the shorts come out, they stay out.

The last week of turkey season was a little tough, for me anyway.  Crappie are being caught and people are finding mushrooms.  The time is upon us and that makes me happy happy happy.

I was lucky enough to visit Parkview Christian Church's preschool class and talk some fishin'.  It's been an annual event and it's one of my favorites, fish stories start at a very early age.  These kids are going to be pros.

Since we're talkin' fishin', MoKids Outdoors and a Relay for Life teaming is hosting Fishin' for a Cure on May 11 at Liberty Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  We'll have archery from Rusty Toad archery, a prize wheel and lunch will be available for a small donation with all proceeds going to the Relay for Life.  Kids, bring your mom and get her registered for a chance to win a Mother's Day package in memory of my mother, who I know will be watching, as always.

Finally, thanks to everyone who was able to welcome home our military on Wednesday, that was awesome.  A big thanks to all of the veterans for letting us do what we do and continue to do.  Remember to protect our rights that our military fights for.  Thank God for our veterans.
