Kids, we all love the fireworks. And I know they’re coming up soon, if you’re ready.  Awhile back we talked about the fireworks displays going on in Sedalia and a little bit around us. Well, we’ve gotten another notice of a great fireworks display!

The Windsor area Chamber of Commerce is going to have their own display on the 4th at Farrington Park. It’ll be an all day event for the whole family. Starting early at about 8:45 a.m., they’ll have an opening ceremony by the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Boy Scouts.  They’re going to have a watermelon festival, and I know in this heat, everyone loves a little watermelon!

Not only that, but there will also be some fun with something called the Cardboard Regatta.  What is that, you may ask?  It’s a boat race!  So I’m sure there will be plenty of hyjinks involving a Cardboard boat race!    They’re also going to have a Backseat Driver car race, which involves golf carts.  I am definitely interested in that, ‘cos who doesn’t love driving a golf cart?    They’ll also have tons of other games like the turtle race, the frog race, the egg race, the sack race, the soft egg toss, the water balloon toss and a softball toss.

They’ll have music from the Glory Road band at 4 p.m., and the fireworks start at dusk.  They’ll have plenty of food and vendors and bring your camera, because Team Molly and Team Flying Truck will be there.

Everyone goes all out for these celebrations!  It should be a lot of fun for just about everybody that goes, no matter what time of day.  Go visit the website or call 660-647-2318 for more information.

Celebratingly yours,

Behka
