Pettis County accident results in serious injuries for Lamonte and Knob Noster residents

At 4:40 Monday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on US Highway 50 just West of Chevalier Road in Pettis County. The accident happened, according to the report, as the 2001 Ford Truck driven by 44-year-old Alma F. Deitas of Knob Noster began to slide, and overturned across the center of the roadway. The report states the vehicle then traveled off the roadway and struck a ditch. The driver received only minor injuries, while two passengers in the vehicle suffered serious injuries. The driver, along with the passengers, identified as 30-year-old Julian Deitas of Knob Noster, and 45-year-old Metelina Enery of Lamonte, were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment.

Four injuries reported in a Pettis County Accident Friday night

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Buckley Road 3-miles East of Lamonte at 8:30 Friday night. According to the report, the accident occurred as the 2008 Dodge Ram driven by 22-year-old Cole W. Eberling hit a patch of ice in the roadway, slid into a ditch, and overturned. Cole received minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene. 19-year-old Gabrielle E. Wilson of Sweet Springs received moderate injuries, while the other two-passengers, 20-year-old Cherri L. Apel and 19-year-old Aubree M Confolder, both of Sedalia, had minor injuries. All three victims were taken to Bothwell regional Health Center for treatment by private vehicle. The accident report states none of the victims wore seat belts.

Rollover accident in Johnson County injures an Olatha Kansas man Friday night

At 8:30 Friday night a 34-year-old Olatha, Kansas man received minor injuries in a rollover accident on Southwest “F” Road and Southwest 1000 Road in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway patrol accident report states a 2000 International driven by Francis J. Peckman traveled off the roadway,  overturned, and then struck a fence. Peckman refused treatment at the scene.

Kansas woman involved in a one-vehicle accident in Johnson County Saturday

Around 10:45 Saturday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Northbound Business Highway-13 at Northeast 51st Road, in Johnson County. The accident happened as the 2009 Toyota, driven by 22-year-old Jocie M. James of Overland Park, Kansas, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. James was wearing a seatbelt, and received only minor injuries. She refused treatment at the scene.
