Sedalia woman arrested on an active warrant Wednesday afternoon

Around 4pm Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a subject check at a residence in the 1600 block of East 6th. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect April Smith of the residence. A check through dispatch confirmed an active Pettis County warrant on Smith. Smith was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $2500 bond.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies investigate a burglary on Westlakes drive

At 3:15 Wednesday afternoon Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Maple Wood Subdivision along Westlakes Drive on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival the victim reported someone had damaged a screen door, but did not enter the residence. The damage was estimated at under $40 according to the sheriff’s report.

Pettis County Deputies recover a stolen vehicle Wednesday morning

Just after 11am Wednesday morning Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a vehicle, that was stolen out of the Kansas City Missouri area. The sheriff’s report states the vehicle was found abandoned at the US50 Roadside Park. There were no suspects at the time of the sheriff’s report.
