Shoplifter arrested a Westlakes Ace Hardware Friday morning

Just before 10am Friday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to Westlakes Ace Hardware at 1010 Thompson Blvd. on a shoplifter. Upon arrival the complainant told the officers a man who had stolen from the store two-days earlier was back in the store. Upon contact with the suspect, 30-year-old Terry Lee Stevson of Lamont he admitted he had stolen a Dremel with attachments on the 3rd of December valued at $115.97. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending a court date.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a 25-year-old Sedalia man

At 2:10am Sunday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of South Limit for making an improper turn. A subsequent check on the driver 25-year-old Clinton R. Devine of Sedalia found he had an active warrant out of Sedalia. At the time of the police report Devine was in the Pettis County jail pending a $1000 bond on the warrant.

Sedalia man arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday morning

Around 12:50 Sunday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 20th and Carr that had been observed going over the curb.The police report states the officer gave the driver, 54-year-old Timothy M. Thomlinson of Sedalia several tests, and determined he was intoxicated. Thomlinson  was arrested, and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

25-year-old Sedalia man arrested for driving while suspended Saturday night

At 9:25pm Saturday night the Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 10th and Kentucky for improper registration. A check on the driver 25-year-old James R. Billingsley of Sedalia was found to be suspended. Billingsly was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond for driving while suspended.

Burglary Complaint filed in the 200 block of South Grand Sunday morning

Just after mid-night Sunday morning the Sedalia Police took a burglary complaint from a victim in the 200 block of South Grand. According to the victim when he arrived home he found that someone had forced open a door to his residence, and stole 2-television sets, and a Theater Audio System valued at $1850. There was no information on a possible suspect in the police report.

A hit an run accident was reported in Walmart’s Parking lot Friday afternoon. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
