Early morning hit and run lands a man in jail Saturday

At 2:28 Saturday morning Sedalia Police responded to a hit and run accident in the 1600 block of East 12th. Upon arrival officers located the suspect 20-year-old Artimio Pacheco of Sedalia in a ditch. At 10th and Emmet. Pacheco who reportedly ran was observed throwing a bag into a nearby bush, that was later found to have a white powder inside. He was caught and arrested, then transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Sedalia man arrested on a fugitive from out of state warrant Thursday night

Around 9:30 Thursday night Sedalia Police conducted a subject check in the area of 2nd and Moniteau. According to dispatch the suspect identified as 46-year-old Dale Wade Kabler had a probation violation warrant out of Kansas. Kabler was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on 24-hour hold pending extradition to Kansas.

26-year-old Sedalia woman arrested on a no-bond warrant Tuesday afternoon

At 4:48 Tuesday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the probation and parole office located at 205 Thompson Road, on a wanted person. Upon arrival officers took 26-year-old Kathleen Aurora Kraft of Sedalia in custody, and transported her to the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant.

Sedalia man arrested on two-warrants Friday morning

Late Friday morning Sedalia Police arrested 20-year-old Demonte S. Allen of Sedalia on two failure to appear warrants. Bond was set at $1750.

At 7:20 Friday night Sedalia Police issued a summons and a court date to 23-year-old Chuka I Ofojebe of Sedalia on a public peace disturbance charge

36-year-old Sedalia man issued a summons Saturday morning

Just after 8am Saturday morning Sedalia Police issued 36-year-old Travis L. King of Sedalia a Municipal Summons for peace disturbance.

Two-women steal over $3,000 worth of Jeans Friday night

According to a Sedalia Police report two women stole 20 pairs of jeans from “The Buckle” that were valued at 3,199.80. The women reportedly fled the area in a Green Pontiac Grand Prix. There was no information on the suspects at news time.
Theft and vandalism Complaints filed with the Sedalia Police Department

Early Friday morning a victim in the 2200 block of West 5th reported their residence was forcibly entered and two-televisions were stolen. One of the televisions was a 40” Samsung Smart TV with a value of $974. The value of the second TV was not listed in the police report. There are no suspects at news time.

Just after 5pm Friday evening a victim in the 16oo block of Katy Trail Avenue reported an X-Box, Lap-Top Computer and a Safe were stolen from their home. Value of the stolen items was placed at $700. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

At 6:47 Friday evening Sedalia Police took a burglary complaint from a  victim in the 1700 block of West 10th. According to the victim someone stole a playstation-3 and a handgun valued collectively at $550 after they forced entry to the residence. No suspects.

On Friday a woman in the 600 block of South Moniteau reported someone spray painted black on her vehicle overnight. Cost of repairs were not known at newstime.

On Friday a victim in the 260 block of Katy Trail Avenue reported a case of identification theft. The victim told the officers someone filed taxes using their information. There are no suspects at news time.
