Morning Sedalia Police Crime Reports For Monday December 23,2015

Juvenile found smoking and in possession of marijuana

Just after 3pm Monday afternoon Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of West 6th to assist with a juvenile who had admitted to smoking marijuana. According to the police report a search revealed 3-small bags of marijuana with just over 5-grams of marijuana in them. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Center, where they were turned over to their parents.

Suspect sought in an assault case that occurred Monday night

Around 8pm Monday night Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Westwood Drive on a physical disturbance that occurred during a child custody dispute. Upon arrival the officer found a subject who was assaulted, and had a small laceration from their glasses. At the time of the police report the suspect was known, but was not yet in custody.

A case of vandalism is being investigated by Sedalia Police

At 4:08 Monday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of West Broadway on a reported property damage incident. Upon arrival the victim told the officers sometime over the prior 3-hours while he was gone someone broke a window of his house. There were no suspects.
