Sedalia man arrested on 2 counts of assault Saturday

At 2am Saturday morning the Sedalia Police responded to a physical disturbance in the 2000 block of east 7th. Upon arrival a victim reported
The suspect was inside the house assaulting 2-females. Arrested at the scene was 36-year-old Noah James Mitchell of the residence. At the time of the police report he was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges of domestic assault 3rd degree and assault 3rd degree.

Sedalia man arrested on a weapons charge early Saturday morning

Just after 2am Saturday morning the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of west 3rd on a report of a man with a gun. According to a caller the suspect was standing in his doorway with something that appeared to be a shotgun. The man was reportedly loading and unloading the gun while flashing the porch light. Upon arrival the police report states the suspect came to the door with the firearm, and was arrested. 63-year-old James W. Priesendorf  was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending action by the Prosecutor’s Office. The report states a charge of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

21-year-old Sedalia man arrested on a warrant Friday

Around 5pm Friday evening Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of east 5th on a warrant check. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the suspect identified as 21-year-old Zachary C. Shaefer of the residence. Schaefer was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $5000 bond on the failure to appear warrants.

57-year-old Sedalia man arrested for domestic assault Saturday

At 11:19pm Saturday night Sedalia Police investigated a physical disturbance in the 700 block of Lafayette Ave. Upon arrival officers located a female victim with minor injuries, who told them the suspect, 57-year-old Jesse Ray Snow of the residence had assaulted. The police report states Snow admitted he assaulted the victim and was arrested and transported to the Pettis Country Jail on 24-hour hold pending 3rd degree domestic assault charges. In a possible related incident a police report states during the domestic assault investigation, a subject identified as Floyd Ray Snow Senior was walking in the roadway, and was reportedly saying he wanted to see someone involved in the domestic assault. Snow was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on charges of failure tto obey, resisting arrest, and pedestrian walking in the roadway.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a Sedalia man Friday night

Just before 9pm Friday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Limit for expired registration. During an investigation the driver, 31-year-old Joe Merle McClendon II of Sedalia was found to be a suspended driver. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50.

34-year-old Sedalia man arrested for domestic assault Sunday morning

Early Sunday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of east 24th on a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival the officers made contact with the victim and a witness, who told them a male suspect had hit the female victim in the face. The report states the suspect returned to the scene and was arrested. At the time of the Police report he was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending charges of 3rd degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Traffic stop leads to arrest for a Smithton man

At 1:26 Friday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Cresent Drive. During an investigation the driver of the vehicle 32-year-old Aaron K. Hampy of Smithton was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Friday morning a victim in the 2600 block of Clarendon Road reported his mailbox and concrete column was damaged by a hit and run driver. Value of the column and mailbox was set at $1000.

On Friday a victim in the 600 block of east 17th reported miscellaneous tools valued at $120 were stolen from his shed sometime between the 1st and 3rd of July.

On Friday a victim in the 1000 block of east 5th reported his license plate was stolen.
