Smithton man arrested during a traffic stop on weapons charges

Just after mid-night Saturday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for not dimming the lights for oncoming traffic. During the investigation a passenger, 28-year-old Timothy Ray Kelzer Smith of Smithton, was found to be in possession of a firearm. The report states Smith was convicted of a felony, and was charged with possession of an unlawful concealable weapon. At the time of the police report Smith was on 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

Sedalia man arrested on an active warrant Saturday night

Around 9:10 Saturday night Sedalia Police stopped a man walking in the area of 4th and Emmett in the street in violation to city code. After a subsequent check on the man, identified as 29-year-old Bradly Allen Lee of Sedalia, he was found to have an active Pettis County warrant. Lee was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $7500 bond.

Chillhowee woman arrested at Walmart Friday afternoon

At 1:19 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Asset Protection Personnel had 25-year-old Crystal Paige Lagud of Chillhowee in custody. The police report states Lagud was issued a summons and a court date since it was her first offence.

Thieves steal contents of  a package from a woman’s mail

On Friday a woman in the 1600 block of Heck Ave reported someone had removed the contents of a package she received in the mail. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

License plates reported stolen Saturday morning

At 11:16am Saturday morning Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a Sedalia man. According to the victim someone stole his license plates while he was at Walmart. The report states Walmart is checking video for a possible suspect.
