Driver and passenger arrested following a traffic stop Monday night

At 8am Monday morning Sedalia Police reportedly observed a passenger in a vehicle in the area of west Pettis and Park Avenue who was known to have a warrant out of Pettis County. The officer reported that when he turned around to stop the vehicle the passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The officer stopped the vehicle, and a check on the driver 33-year-old Tamera Kay Henderson of Sedalia was found to be suspended. She was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond for driving while suspended. In a later police report the suspect who fled the scene was located a short time later and arrested. At the time of the police report that suspect, 44-year-old Barry Edward Keele of Sedalia was on 24-hour hold at the jail pending a $2500 bond on the warrant, and a charge of resisting arrest.

Suspect returns to the scene of the crime and is arrested

Just before 9pm Monday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Dollar General at 619 North Ohio on a report of a suspect who had returned to the store after an earlier theft. The police report states the
suspect, Christopher C. Jackson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending action by the prosecuting attorney’s office.

Homeless man arrested on a parole violation warrant Monday night

Around 9:20 Monday night Sedalia police observed a male subject walking south at 3rd and Moniteau, who was known to have an active probation violation warrant. Upon contact with the suspect, 45-year-old Melvin Lee Fahrner a homeless person, the warrant was confirmed. Fahrner was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail on the warrant.

Thieves assault a man in a parking lot and steals his money

At 7:34 Monday night Sedalia Police made contact with a male victim in a parking lot in the 1400 block of South limit. According to the man he had come to the area to recover some of his property, but when he exited his vehicle he was assaulted by two suspects, who stole $307 from him.

Breaktime at 808 east Broadway reported a $5.01 gas drive off late Monday night.
