Traffic stop results in arrest for a passenger in the vehicle Wednesday
At 2:34 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 16th and New York for speeding. A subsequent check on the occupants of the vehicle revealed a passenger with a probation and parole warrant out of Jefferson City. Arrested at the scene was 26-year-old Christina Marie Forsee of Sedalia. She was transported to the Pettis County jail pending further action on the warrant.
Warrant check nets a 23-year-old Sedalia man
Around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 500 block of West 3rd. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect, 23-year-old Joseph Thomas Fritz II. Following confirmation of the warrant Fritz was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $1000 bond.
3-year-old is child bitten on the ear by a dog Wednesday night
Just before 11pm Wednesday night Sedalia Police responded to the Bothwell Hospital Emergency room on a reported dog bite involving a 3-year-old child. Upon arrival the mother of the child said he was bitten on the ear by a dog, that was at her home while she was at work. The child was treated and released according to the [police report. There was no mention of the dog in the report.
Property damage reported to a residence and a garage in the 1400 block of South Moniteau
Tuesday morning a complainant in the 1400 block of South Moniteau reported a case of property damage to a relative’s property. Upon arrival the complainant reported one window had been broken out of the residence, and fourteen out of the garage on the property. The damage estimate was placed at $80.
Several thefts reported to the Sedalia Police in Sedalia
On Tuesday a candidate running for office in April reported her political sinage had been removed from several sites around town.
A power washer was reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of North Mill Wednesday afternoon.
A $60 motorcycle helmet was reported stolen from a man’s Harley Davidson Motor Cycle while it was parked in the 100 block of South Ohio Wednesday morning.
A bicycle was reported stolen from the back yard of a residence in the 1200 block of South Kentucky.
