Smithton man arrested on drug related charges Sunday night

Just after 9pm Sunday night Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the area of Broadway and Engineer for a headlight out. A subsequent search of the driver, 21-year-old Tyler J. O’Connell of Sedalia produced a small amount of marijuana, a pipe, and a grinder. O’Connell was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1067 bond.

Sedalia man arrested a failure to appear warrant Sunday morning

At 3:27am Sunday morning Sedalia police were dispatched to the area of 14th and Harrison on an assault report. During an investigation a suspect identified as Joe Merle McClendon ll of Sedalia had a failure to appear warrant with a $150 cash only bond.

Theft of medication reported at Walmart Sunday Evening

Around 6:40pm Sunday evening Sedalia Police took a theft complaint at the Walmart Store. According to the complainant a female suspect took an item from the Pharmacy Shelves, plus a prescription she had not paid for, and left the store, Value of the items was said to be over $165. There was no other information in the police report.
