Sedalia Police are investigating numerous tires damaged in Sedalia

Saturday morning Sedalia Police received numerous reports of slashed tires, that occurred overnight. According to the police report the suspect or suspects damaged vehicles  on the east side of town. The police report also states some victims  had more than one vehicle that sustained property damage. Damage reports put the dollar value of the crime spree at well over $1000. If you have any information on this or any other criminal activity please call local law enforcement to get these criminals off the streets.

Sedalia man arrested for striking a woman in the 500 block of west 4th Saturday

Just after 2am Saturday morning Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of west 4th. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect and the victim. According to the female victim the suspect struck her in the eye, the police report states the woman did have an injury to the eye. 49-year-old Joseph Dwayne Robinson of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges for domestic assault. The report also states Robinson was found to have an active Pettis County Warrant for failure to appear.

Traffic stop Friday afternoon results in arrest for s Sedalia man Friday afternoon

At 1:25pm Friday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of east Howard, and Emmet Avenue for failing to yield at a stop sign. The driver 36-year-old Brad Lee Morgan of Sedalia was also found to be a suspended. Morgan was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Man on a Motor Scooter arrested for driving while suspended Friday night

Just before mid-night Friday night Sedalia Police stopped a man on a Motor Scooter at 6th and Summit for not wearing a helmet. A check on the driver, 38-year-old Leonardo Catalan-Arnada found he was a suspended driver. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Suspect in the theft of a bottle of Vodka arrested at Wood’s Friday morning

Around 7:40 Friday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to Wood’s Supermarket in the 700 block of East Broadway, on the reported theft of a bottle of Vodka. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the suspect, who reportedly was found with the bottle in his jacket pocket. Arrested at the scene was 48-year-old Michael T. Gray of Sedalia. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Theft complaints reported to the Sedalia Police

At 8:14 Thursday night a victim in the 900 block of east 5th reported a theft of $40 in cash and a bottle of medication. The victim told the officers the items went missing during an earlier altercation, that turned physical. There is a suspect in the caser according to the report.

At 11:53 Thursday night Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 1900 block of South Stewart. According to the victim an all Purpose Tool Kit valued at around $80 was stolen from his property. The victim said the thief is driving an Orange and Brown 80’s Model Pickup. There was no other information in the police report.

A female victim reported a check she had placed at the front of her house for the water department was stolen. The amount of the check was not in the report.

Two bikes were found in a ditch in the area of the 1400 block of Marshall Ave. The bikes are in the bike shed at the Sedalia Police Department.
