Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Sedalia Man

A Sedalia man was killed in a one-vehicle motorcycle accident that occurred Thursday night in Dallas County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said that 19-year-old Devon B. Grose, Sedalia, died at the scene of the accident, which happened on US 65, two miles south of Louisburg around 9:55 p.m. April 14 in Dallas County.

The Patrol's report stated that Grose was southbound on his 2008 Yamaha when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway, became airborne and struck a utility pole, ejecting the driver.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic at 10:17 p.m. The body was taken to the Springfield Mortuary by Montgomery Viets Funeral Home, the report said.
