Motorcycle Wreck Injures Two Green Ridge Residents

Two Green Ridge residents were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred Friday afternoon in Pettis County on Highway E.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 1:36 p.m., John P. Shipps, 75, and Sharon K. Shipps, 65, both of Green Ridge, were southbound at 31351 Highway E when their 2014 Harley Davidson ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned in a ditch. Both driver and passenger were ejected, landing underneath the Harley.

John Shipps was transported to University of Missouri by Air Evac, while Sharon Shipps was transported by Life Flight Eagles to University of Missouri.

The Harley had minor damage and was towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
