Myrtle O. "Rose" Lindsay, 89, of Sedalia passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at her home in Sedalia, Missouri.  She was born on June 29, 1926 in Cave City, Arkansas the daughter of Charles Walter Milligan and Dora Dean Gay, who preceded her in death.

On August 13, 1948 in Dodge City, KS she was united in marriage to Cecil (Carl) Lindsay, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2011.

Rose owned and operated a home decor and fashion business for serveral years. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Warsaw, MO. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Lindsay and Larry Lindsay, both of Kansas City, MO and a daughter Valorie Fauquier of Warsaw, MO; a granddaughter, Cara Fauquier and two great grand children, Elijah Poindexter and Nate Fauquier; a sister, Marcella Smith of Batesville, AR.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Milligan and a sister Marie Jones.

A private family only graveside service will be held at a later date in National Cemetery, Warsaw, MO.

There will be no family visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.
