Nancy Ann Miller, 80, of Kansas City, formerly of Sedalia, died Friday, July 19, 2013, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

She was born December 12, 1932, in Syracuse, a daughter of the late Herman and Carrie Lee (Wilham) Miller.

She was a member of Ward Memorial Baptist Church in Sedalia and Blue Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City. Nancy worked as a nanny for many years before starting her job in security at Truman Medical Center, retiring in 2011 after 30-plus years. She loved to sing and was a member of the Morning Star Gospel Singers. She enjoyed traveling and amusement parks, playing cards and fishing.

She is survived by her son, Keith Darcel Grey, of Anaheim, CA, as well as Matt Allen Sims, of Sedalia, and Darrie Shellner, of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Dr. Herman Thomas Miller, and his wife, Gloria, of Jefferson City; a brother-in-law, Arthur Willard Seabury, Sr., of Sedalia; a sister-in-law, Mabeline Miller, of St. Louis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Rev. Ogden Lacey, James Miller (MIA Korea) and Sandy Miller; and five sisters, Anna Gales, Mary Lee Jackson, Pearl Sims, Patsy Seabury and Nellie (Nadine) Jones.

Funeral service will be 10 am, Thursday, July 25, 2013, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joyce Foster and Rev. Eddie Flakes, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 9 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
