Nancy Carol Slater, 73

Nancy Carol Slater, 73, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at her home.

She was born January 22, 1940, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of Jessie and Hadessa Brown Lynn.

Nancy enjoyed gambling, fishing, camping, cooking and traveling. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally and was a wonderful friend to many.

Surviving are six children: Kenneth Schlup (Cathy), Robert Schlup (Connie), Brenda Lowe (James), all of Sedalia, Lloyd Schlup (Suzi), of St. Louis, Rini Goodman (Don), of Sedalia, and Rose Saint (Jackie), of Albertville, AL; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jessie Hodgdon and Diana Day.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Teddy Schlup.

Private graveside services will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
