Naomi Louise (Jones) “Peg” Brownfield, 96, of Sedalia passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until service at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tim Benz, Todd Benz, Justin Berry, Michael Berry, Darin Plummer, and nephew David Dick. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to American Heart Association or New Hope Baptist Church in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. She was born March 15, 1918 in Sedalia to the late William Harry and Rose Meyer Jones.  She attended school at High Point.

On February 6, 1963, she married Clifford A. Brownfield, who preceded her in death on April 23, 2011.

She was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Stokley, MO.

Peg worked at Lamy Mfg, Dorn Cloney Laundry and the Sedalia Bank and Trust as a bookkeeper.

She loved all of her family and looked forward to visits.

She is survived by her four children Clifford Gene Brownfield (Kathryn) of Henderson, NV, Barbara Berry (Steve) of Green Ridge, Betty Benz (Albert) of Raymore and Joan Wheeler Cramer of Sedalia, along with six grandchildren Justin Berry (Betsy) of Green Ridge, Kristen Plummer (Darin) of Warrensburg, Tim Benz (Amy) of Raymore, Todd Benz (Cris) of Ft Collins, CO, Michael Berry (Cristin) of Apex, NC, Stacey Brownfield of Henderson, NV; 14 great grandchildren  Caden and Maren Benz, Mia and Hanna Benz, Jeanette, Addie, Winstin, Kate Berry, McKenzie and Toby Plummer, Zachary, Gibson and Ford Berry and Elijah Brownfield, also a sister-in-law Maxine Warren of Green Ridge and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters Verla Dick, Gertrude Heck and Genevieve Wise and brother Edward L. Jones, son-in-law William “Bill” Cramer, infant grandson William L. Cramer and a niece Betty Jo Dick.
