Nelson Woman Killed in Pettis County Car Accident

At 2:36 Saturday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality accident on Mcallister Road, one mile west of Hazel Hill Road in Pettis County.

The accident reportedly occurred as a 1998 Jeep rolled unattended down a roadway and overturned, ejecting an occupant identified as 34-year-old Amy Harper of Nelson. A pedestrian, 40-year-old Darrell Slaughter, received minor injuries as he attempted to stop the vehicle.

Harper was pronounced dead at the scene by Saline County Coroner W. Harlow at 3:45 p.m.
