Mother reports her daughter was inappropriately touched

Sunday afternoon a female complainant reported her daughter had been inappropriately touched by a male suspect she lived with. The incident reportedly took place a couple of weeks ago according to the woman. The complainant and the victim reportedly relocated for safety reasons. The police report contained no information on the suspect, but did state a child abuse hotline call was made in the incident.

34-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

At 11:25 Saturday night Sedalia Police investigated a theft at the Walmart Store. Upon arrival the complainant reported a suspect, had stolen $562.74 in merchandise from the store. The complainant was able to give officers a descripting of the suspect, and he was located and arrested. At the time of the police report the suspect, 34-year-old Kevin Allen Murray of Sedalia was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending 1st degree burglary, and shoplifting/stealing charges.

Texas woman arrested at Walmart for shoplifting

Around 5:50 Sunday Evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival loss prevention had the suspect detained. The complainant told the officers the suspect, 44-year-old Brandy L. Chambers of Santa Fe. Texas had stolen $87.97 worth of merchandise. Chambers was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Intoxicated man “Flipping people off” on East Broadway arrested Sunday

On Sunday the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Broadway on an intoxicated man who was flipping people off. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect identified as 57-year-old Gary Charlie Brown Sr., and found him with an open container of beer. Brown was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending sobriety, and a $133.50 bond.

Disturbance call gets a man a summons for smoking marijuana

At 10:15pm Saturday night Sedalia police investigated a disturbance in the 1100 block of East 7th. Upon arrival the officer found 24-year-old Martavious Thomas of Sedalia smoking a marijuana cigarette. The police report states the cigarette was confiscated, and Thomas was issued a summons and a court date.

A 1995 Lincoln Town Car was reported stolen from a victim’s driveway in the 400 Block of North Park Saturday morning. Value of the vehicle was set at $1000.
