Norma Elizabeth Petit, 101, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at her home.

She was born July 27, 1914, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Clinton and Josephine Haskell Irving. In June 1959, she married Albert C. Petit, who preceded her in death in 1995.

She lived in Garner, IA, Rockford, IL, and Belvidere, IL, before moving to Mesa, AZ, where she lived for 20 years, before moving to Warsaw with her granddaughter. In Mesa, she volunteered in a library and a nursing home. Before retirement, Norma worked in human resources at General Electric.

Surviving are two grandchildren: Laura Lyon-Mackiewicz (Chet), of Warsaw, and Kathy Voss (Kevin), of Denton TX; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Nason; a grandson, Michael Nason; and siblings, Myrtle Casperson, Eleanor Brozik and Herb Irving.

Her ashes will be mixed with her favorite dog, Yukon's ashes, and spread on Red Mountain in Mesa, Arizona.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
