Kick your Memorial Day weekend off right this Friday night with some live music! Anytime that Sedalia or the surrounding area brings in bands or any type of live music, I'm always excited to go and support it. This Friday, Bottom's Up will feature three bands: Not A Planet, Austin Knob Band, and Blake Gardener and the Farmers. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the opening act starting at 8.

Not A Planet is stopping through Sedalia on their Summer tour. They hail from Akron, Ohio, the same city that produced rock bands such as James Gang, Devo, the Pretenders and the Black Keys. They moved from Akron to Kansas City and have been taking the local scene by storm. They have also opened up for bands that are giants in the industry, such as Flogging Molly, Never Shout Never, Bowling For Soup and The Dirty Heads.

They will be playing some big gigs this summer as they travel through Indiana, Ohio, and New York. We should all be excited that they are playing right here in our backyard. Go out to Bottom's Up this Friday and enjoy the full lineup.
