Loren Theodore Kaden, 80, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Four Seasons Living Center, Sedalia.  He was born on October 24, 1932, on Balke Prairie east of Cole Camp, Missouri, a son of George Arthur and Maggie (Balke) Kaden.  Loren grew up on the family farm and attended Balke Prairie School.  He was baptized on November 13, 1932, by Rev. H. C. Wolters and on June 2, 1946, he was confirmed by Pastor O. C. Jagels at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp.  He remained a member there until its closing, when he transferred his membership to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp.   On February 3, 1953, he was drafted into the United States Army and served in South Korea as a Corporal.  He worked at National Engineering and later for Town and Country Shoes in Sedalia, until he retired in 1988.  After his retirement, he moved to Versailles.  He enjoyed fishing, playing pitch and pinochle, and playing dominoes.   He is survived by: one sister, Adeline Ehlers of Cole Camp;             one brother, Orin Kaden of Sedalia; three nieces, Marcia Kaden, Judy Guier, and Loretta Smith; and two nephews, Johnny Ehlers and Eddie Kaden   He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elrine Kaden, and two brothers, Emil Kaden and Ervin Kaden.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cole Camp, with  Pastor Michael Boothby officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, rural Cole Camp, with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp.   A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the church, with visitation to follow.   The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Bothwell Hospice in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp. Pallbearers will be Eddie Kaden, Johnny Ehlers, Todd Smith, Roy Guier, Scott Balke, and Terry Harms.
