We here in Pettis County are a diverse group, living in all sorts of different situations.  Some of us live in a town like Sedalia, some live in a smaller community and some live out in the counties on their own rural properties.  Rural way of life can be very rewarding and also very difficult for those families.

The R-VI School District is located in central Missouri, approximately 10 miles east of Sedalia. The school itself is a bit small, because again, there's not a lot of people in the town itself. The school contains grades Preschool through 12 with a student population of approximately 250.  And since they're a smaller town, they don't have some of the advantages that we here in Sedalia have, like a lot of parents to contribute to senior nights.  But we're letting you know how you can help these Otterville kids have a great senior year!

Otterville High School is hosting a big fundraiser dinner. The senior meal fundraiser will be on Dec. 3 at Otterville High School from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. They'll be serving homemade chicken noodle soup or chili, a slice of pie and a drink for $6.  You can't beat that!

Otterville is one of those smaller rural communities in our area.  Not a lot of people live in in Otterville proper, but several of the people who utilize what Otterville has to offer are those same people living out on their own land, farming and drawing their own water. Several of those people end up sending their kids to the Otterville School, and it's been a great source of excellence in education, so make sure you go on by and help out our awesome neighbors in Otterville.

Soupily yours,
Behka
