Donald Dean Proctor, 72, of Sedalia, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia. He was born on August 10, 1937, in Kansas City, MO, the youngest of 15 boys to William and Agnes Proctor.
In Miami, Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Huffman Allen , who survives of the home.
Don was a delivery truck driver. He loved to collect guitars and wear western clothes. He sewed and hemmed up his own clothes. Don was an evangelist, spreading the word of the Lord for over 30 years. He was a gospel entertainer and loved to sing. One of Don's favorite things to do was to travel and go to flee markets.
Besides his wife, he is survived by, one daughter, Vicky Proctor of Kansas City, MO; one son, D.J. Proctor of Independence, MO; two brothers, Bob Proctor of Valley Park, OK, and Norman Proctor of Bolivar, MO; four grandchildren, Ashli, Paul, William and Justin.
He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, and 12 brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Rea Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, with Brother Howard Rogers officiating.
There will be no family visitation, however, friends may sign the guest register after 9:00 a.m on Monday July 19, 2010 at the chapel.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society in care of the funeral chapel.

Mildred Esther Ball, 94, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on August 10, 1915, in Rural Pettis County, a daughter of Emil W. and Edith Faye Abney Hoard.
She was a member of the New Bethel United Methodist Church. She worked at Town and Country Shoes. Mildred was a member of Optimist International, United Methodist Women and Flat Creek Extension Club. She was a fabulous seamstress and made of the family clothing, including their high school prom dresses and wedding dresses. She lived in Sedalia most of her life.
She is survived by: one daughter, Patricia J. McFatrich, of Sedalia; one son, William "Bill" Ball of Sedalia; one sister, Jean Williams of College Station, Texas; two grandsons, James McFatrich and his wife Kelly, and Nathan Ball; two granddaughters, Charlie Neth and her husband Tony, and Tonya Johnson, all of Sedalia; three great grandsons; three great granddaughters; two great great grandsons; one great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her parents; two brothers, Emil "Bud" Hoard and Loren Hoard.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at New Bethel United Methodist Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Mary Biesmeyer officiating.
A guest register book will be available for friends and family to sign at Rea Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services. There will be no family visitation.

Marthella Maxine Gorrell, age 94, of Sedalia, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born June 17, 1916 in Pettis County, Missouri, the daughter of John Harrison and Mable Ruth Selken DeJarnette. In March 1937, in Pettis County, she was married to George Hinton Gorrell, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gorrell was a 1935 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was employed at Lamy Manufacturing Company for 25 years, Interstate Studio for 25 years and was a cook at Newman Café. She was a member of Brown Extension Club, Epworth United Methodist Church, and the church quilting club. She enjoyed playing cards and dominos with church friends, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are a son Larry Gorrell (Myrna), of Edwards, MO; a daughter-in-law, Jami Schroeder, of Hughesville; two sisters-in-law, Janette DeJarnette and Betty Pettit; 8 grandchildren, Delona Potter, Brenda Utt, William Christopher Gorrell, Darcia Koetting, Perry W. Gorrell, Candis Egusquiza, Melissa Utt and Troy V. Gorrell; 14 great-grandchildren, Tony Utt, Quinten Koetting, Eric Potter, Carleigh Koetting, Michael Utt, Lindsey Potter, Coulten Koetting, Courtney Koetting, Evan Gorrell, Emily Gorrell, Amber Gorrell, Marissa Gorrell, Cody Lane Egusquiza and AnnMarie Egusquiza.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Bonnie Deane Utt; a son George Hinton Gorrell, Jr.; a grandson, Jeffrey Neal Utt, a son-in-law Dennis Charles Utt and a brother Omar DeJarnette.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Colflesh officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Gorrell, Perry Gorrell, Troy Gorrell, Jeffrey Potter, Jeffrey Koetting, Tony Utt and Michael Utt. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

Clara Frances Mines, 98, of Richmond, formerly of Sedalia, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
She was born October 8, 1911, in Cooper County, a daughter of Herbert Joseph and Helena Rose (Weber) Hoff. On June 3, 1933, in Sedalia, she married Harry Edward Mines who preceded her in death on August 2, 1958.
Clara was a 1929 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She worked at Lyle’s Cleaners for years. Clara was a vivacious woman and enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking big meals for her family and was affectionately known to them as “Old Grandma”. She took in ironing as a hobby and also did alterations. She enjoyed a beer every day. She loved birds, butterflies, bells, flowers and angels, and had collections of all these things. She loved to dance, do crossword puzzles and tell jokes. One of her favorite sayings was “I was born a Catholic and a Democrat”.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Richards, and her husband, Dean, of Richmond; five grandchildren, Joel Richards, Kristy Richards and Jill Richards, all of Richmond, and Chris McGuire and Diane McGuire, both of Hardin; four great-grandchildren, Justin Richards, “her ray of sunshine”, Jared Richards, “her baby”, Brianne McGuire, “her only great granddaughter”, and Stevan McGuire, “her quiet one”; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude Haller, Cecilia Gammon and Ann Jackson; and a brother, Herman Hoff.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Linus Evers officiating. Pallbearers will be Leo Richards, Steve Triplett, Harry Blatterman, Ed Roberson, Gail Jennings and Jim Gregory. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Richards, Stevan McGuire and Jared Richards. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Elizabeth F. “Libby” Rieves, 88, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born August 15, 1921, in Morgan County, Missouri, a daughter of Ruben Lowery and Stella Mae (Lewis) Young. On June 16, 1940, in Sedalia, she married John W.E. Rieves, who passed away December 1989.
She was a graduate of Smithton High School. She worked for many years at Bard Drug and later Sedalia Drug. She loved watching movies, reading, crossword puzzles and fishing. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, John Rieves, and his wife, Vicki, of Marshall; two daughters, Sandy Cordes, and her husband, Howard, of Sedalia, and Patty Hofstetter, and her husband, Daryl, of Stover; a sister, Marian Schultz, of Centerville, OH; five grandchildren, Daryn Hofstetter, Dena Leggerio, John Michael Rieves, Kevin Gene Rieves and Amy Victoria Rieves; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester Young, Victor Young, Orval Young and Ruben Young; and three sisters, Hilda Morris, Beryl Hockaday and Stella Jo Dawson.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chris Kellogg officiating. Pallbearers will be Daryn Hofstetter, Jim Young, Kevin Rieves, Clinton Davis, John Hockaday and Jimmy Steele. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Arthur Armstead Richards, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday evening, July 18, 2010, at Four Seasons Living Center.
He was born November 17, 1926, in West Fall, KS, a son of Phillip and Lizzie Lessenden Richards. On July 27, 1991, he married Dora North, who survives of the home.
Mr. Richards formerly owned Osage Thrift Shop and was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was the Sunday school director. He also worked with the Harmony Baptist Association. He enjoyed hunting fishing, playing cards with friends, and winning people to the Lord. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, earning the rank of Seaman First Class.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Hughes, and her husband, Mick, of Marshall; a step-daughter, Tammy L. Grimsley, and her husband, Mark, of Stover; a step-son, Kevin R. Fox, and his wife, Christen, of Chandler, AZ; eight grandchildren, Tony Larm, Crystal Cope, Christina Marten, Amanda Soboski, Veronica Poort, Aundria Poort, Ada Huskey and Casey Fox; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Erwin Richards, of Windsor.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Cole Richards; and son, David Richards.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating.
Casket bearers will be Carroll Howard, Merlin Balke, Loye Pannell, Roy Bryson, Ken Walker and Larry Whipple.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors by VFW Post 2591.

Barbara Lee Henderson Drennon Garrett died April 25, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born June 10, 1929 in Green Ridge, Missouri to Homer and Ramah (Breshears) Henderson, who proceeded her in death. She is also proceeded by two brothers, Sam and Homer Durl Henderson.
She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1947.
On December 13, 1947 she was married to Donald Lee Drennon, who proceeded her in death on April 29, 1984. She was also proceeded in death by daughters, Pamela Drennon and Marilyn Drennon Black.
On November 3, 1990, Barbara was married to Paul Garrett who proceeded her in death April 26, 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Kay Drennon Marshall (John), Grass Valley, California and her son, Stanley Alan Drennon (Louise) Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Yvonne Shinn (Ed) Warsaw, Missouri, two brothers, Murl Henderson (Earlene) Warsaw, Missouri and Dean Henderson (Deanna) Hermitage, Missouri. She is also survived by a stepson, Larry Garrett, Kansas City.
A celebration of her Christian life will be held at the Edwards Community Center (formerly Methodist Church) Edwards, Missouri on May 16, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Friends and family are welcome. Lucille J. Brodersen, 88, of Florence, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Stover.
She was born on October 12, 1921, in Florence, Missouri, a daughter of Otto C. and Clora A. Schroder Eldenburg.
On March 29, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Leo W. Brodersen, who preceded her in death on August 21, 2004.
She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Sedalia. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her garden and mowing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by: one daughter, Judy Page and her husband, Bob, of Florence; one son, Gary Brodersen and his wife, Barbara, of Florence; one brother, Dr. Donald Eldenburg and his wife, Charlotte, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Myrtle Bristow.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Moore, one son David Moore, her parents and a sister Marjorie Maybelle Henderson.

Timothy L. Turley, 63, of Warrensburg, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at his home.
He was born on March 31, 1946 in Colorado, a son of John Newton and Alice L. Knuth Turley. On July 29, 2006, in Warrensburg, he was united in marriage to Caterina Turley, who survives of the home.
Tim was a union operator, working as a welder and subcontractor. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and boating. He also loved hotrods, hunting and guns. Tim was the #1 Denver Broncos fan!
He is also survived by four sons; Timothy Duane Turley, Rockney Turley, Joshua Turley, and Victor Turley; two daughters, Shari Joan Johnson and Alicea Turley; a step son Jack Warner, and a step daughter Erica Rivera; three brothers, Red Turley and his wife Tina, Alonzo Turley and his wife Sandy all of Sedalia, and John Turley and his wife Linda of Centerview; one sister, Aylsie G. Geier of Dayton, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one brother, Herbert Rockney Turley.

Jimmy W. Sanders, age 66, of Sedalia, died on December 29, 2009 at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home.
He was born on February 21, 1943 in Sedalia, son of Ernest and Cora Shull Sanders. He was married on October 10, 1964 in Green Ridge to Linda Eckhoff and she survives of the home.
He loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing the Lord with others. He worked for the Katy Railroad and later the Union Pacific Railroad as a track inspector for twenty-two years. He then worked for Kelsey Hayes Wheels Company. He enjoyed painting and had several beautiful pictures. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ervin Sanders of Cameron, MO, David Sanders of Sedalia; one daughter, Linda Sanders of Sedalia; one sister, Mary Ross and her husband Charles of Smithton; two brothers, George Sanders and his wife Sue of Sedalia, Sam Sanders and his wife Bert of Sun City, Arizona; two grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents; two brothers, John and Howard; two sisters, Jeanette and Juanita.

Edith M.E. Meyer, age 88, of Independence, formerly of Sedalia, died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Center Point Medical Center.
She was born July 15, 1921, in Scotsburg, IN a daughter of John and Pauline (Lamotke) Gerbitz.
She was raised and educated around Prairie City and Appleton City, MO. She moved to Sedalia in 1952. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Bothwell Regional Health Center for 25 years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and Faithful Workers in the church.
She is survived by 2 children Johnnie Sinden, of Diamond, MO & Patty Godbee, of Independence; 3 stepchildren Charles Sinden, of CO, Gary Meyer & Gene Meyer, both of Sedalia; 4 grandchildren Theresa Binney, Ernie Binney, Glen Sinden & Jim Sinden; 8 great-grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Joseph, Jessica, Crystal, Brandon, Spencer & Dena; and 3 great-great grandchildren James, Jonny & Jamie.
She was preceded in death by a son Glenn Sinden; husbands Charley Sinden, Ernie Sitton & Clarence D. Meyer; 2 brothers & 1 sister.

Hugo August Reusch, 80, of Green Ridge, died on Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp. Hugo was born August 28, 1929 in Mora, Missouri, the son of Joseph and Ida (Bruehl) Reusch. Hugo and Kathleen Twenter were married on August 20, 1954. Kathleen survives at their Green Ridge home.
Hugo worked initially for Missouri Goldfish Hatchery. He then managed Golden Shiner Co. in Warsaw. He was a mechanic and owner at Reusch Garage in Green Ridge. Hugo was the Fire Chief of the Green Ridge Fire Department for many years.
Hugo was always willing to help others with car problems or a tow out of a ditch. He was a great Grandfather and he enjoyed his time with family and friends.
Hugo is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Kevin of Green Ridge and Thomas and wife Lori of Springfield; three daughters, Darlene Hintenach and husband Raymond of Jackson, New Jersey; Donna Harms and husband Dale of Windsor and Greta Turner and husband Tony of Green Ridge; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a sister Erma Dove of Windsor.
Hugo was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father Miller officiating. Lynne Lamoine Hesterlee Furnell, age 48, of Laurie, MO, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at her home.
She was born March 19, 1961 in St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of Grace Lamoine Eakins and Lowell Leslie Hesterlee.
A graduate of Smith-Cotton’s class of 1979, she loved playing the drums in the high school band.
She received her Associate Arts Degree, in Fine Arts, from State Fair Community College, and continued her love of art, working as an artisan in making beautiful stained glass pieces for family and friends.
She was married to David Furnell and together they had two children, Erica Lamoine and Jordon Jennifer. The years between 1990 and 2006 she was active in school activities and PTA. She was devoted to raising her daughters.
From her teens into adulthood, she and her father, Lowell, shared a love for old cars. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In high school she lettered in tennis, band, and basketball. After high school she became an avid golfer. Hobbies included photography, travel and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. She was a Disney and Mickey Mouse collector and a Jimmy Buffett fan.
Friends may call after 4 pm Thursday, November 19, 2009 and the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 pm at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
Services will be Friday, November 20, 2009 at 10 am at Broadway Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harvel Sanders officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Bradberry, Terry Mooney, Terry Storts, Chris Squires, Clayton Alcorn, Terry Arnold, George Esser and Steve Sheeley.

Walter B. Loveland, 75, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp.
He was born September 3, 1934, in Sedalia, a son of Walter B. and Clara Detmer Loveland.
Walter joined the Marines and is a member of the Sedalia VFW Post #2591. He worked for Coca Cola from 1970-1989 as the General Manager. Walter was also a member of the Scottish Rite for 44 years, the Masonic Lodge #236, Sedalia Shrine Club, Sedalia Jaycees and he liked to collect antiques.
Walter is survived by a spouse, two sons, David (Sharon) Loveland and John Loveland both of Sedalia, a daughter, Vickie (Charlie) Homan of Otterville, five grandchildren, Krista, Courtney and Whitney Homan, Claire and Hannah Loveland, two step-grandchildren, Ethan and Laurel McMillin, a great-grandson Kaysen Millsap, two sisters, Beverly Cunningham of Lee's Summit and Barbara Pittman of Mesa, AZ.
He was predeceased by both of his parents.
