Smith-Cotton wrestlers and football players attended a presentation Wednesday, March 15, by Spenser and Ryan Mango of the Army's World Class Athlete Program (WCAP).

The brothers are St. Louis natives; Spenser attended Christian Brothers High School where he was a two-time state wrestling champion and Ryan attended Whitfield High School where he was a three-time champion.

Spenser was a U.S. Wrestling National Team member from 2008-2016, appearing in two Olympic Games, 2008 and 2016. Ryan has been on the U.S. National Team since 2013, he will competing at the Olympic Trial in late April.

The brothers talked about their experience with high school sports, transition into collegiate athletics, and the impact that the Army and specifically the WCAP program has had on their lives.

They demonstrated wrestling moves from the Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles of wrestling.

They also talked strategy with the Smith-Cotton athletes, explaining how to score points during a match.
