As you guys are probably recognizing by now, I like to keep people updated on what's going on here locally. I do the Community Calendar listings, and update our events on our website, stuff like that. So it's great for me when I encounter a group that does a lot, it makes the job a little easier. So every now and then I like to touch base with our Sedalia Parks and Recreation. They've always got something up the pipeline. This time I got to talk with a lady by the name of Carrie Taylor.  She works closely with Amy and the gang with the  Parks and Recreation department, and she's particularly enthused about doing things for the little ones.  I know how hard it can be to find something for kids to do that will capture their attention in a world of tablets, smartphones, gaming consoles, and all that rigamarole. So the new, fresh ideas for family fun that the Parks and Rec department keep doing (along with the tried and true favorites) is always intriguing to talk about.

Here's Carrie to tell us about what's coming up soon for the Parks Department.

If you need more information on any events or upcoming programs, you can stop by the office at 1500 W. 3rd Street (they're open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.),visit their website, or call them at 660-826-4930.

Recreationally yours,

Behka
