NEW MADRID, Mo. (AP) — The man accused of killing a southeast Missouri store clerk could face the death penalty, if convicted. Twenty-one-year-old Deion Martin of Parma is charged with first-degree murder, robbery and armed criminal action. Fifty-nine-year-old Brenda Smith was shot and killed during a robbery last month at D and L One Stop in Parma.
